We’re hiring a Collections Administrator to join our fast-paced Credit Control Team in Ayr. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on reducing aged debt and improving debtor days.
The Collections Administrator plays a pivotal role in our operation with close collaboration with all members of the Collections team and other departments is essential in order to facilitate a cohesive approach to addressing customer needs, resolving queries, handling data effectively, and aligning collection strategies with broader organisational goals.
You’ll be undertaking administration on behalf of the department, generating reports, communicating with customers to understand reasons for non-payment and working with them to clear balances.
We’re looking for someone with strong administration & communication skills, with a proactive attitude.

• Salary – £24,345
• Monday – Friday so they weekends are all yours

• A variety of administration tasks within the department
• Accurately complete, maintain, and enhance existing spreadsheets with large volumes of data
• Contact customers to collect outstanding payments
• Send payment reminders via email and post
• Resolve basic invoice queries and disputes, negotiate and agree payment plans
• Maintain accurate records in our CRM system.
• Meet and exceed individual and team collection targets/KPI’s
• Strong administrative background, ideally finance, or a similar environment
• Comfortable using a wide range of computer systems
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, handling objections with confidence and professionalism
• Confident communicator with the ability to handle sensitive conversations
• Competent in all Microsoft office packages including Excel.
• Preferably have experience using accounting software and CRM systems but not essential
