The H&S Manager is responsible for the ownership and continuous improvement of HSE across the company and in driving best practice in health, safety, and environmental performance.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, strengthening HSE documentation, and embedding a positive, proactive safety culture. The role combines hands-on delivery with strategic oversight, requiring visibility on site and the confidence to influence behaviour at all levels. As well as hands-on H&S there will be a requirement to maintain and update associated documentation as required.
The role often requires operating independently and influencing across different levels of the business and regularly sending mandatory reporting to the CEO and senior management team.
This role will suit a practical, credible professional who is comfortable working autonomously while engaging closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders. The role will be primarily based at our Blairgowrie office, with occasional travel required to support operations at our London and Ayr offices.

· Ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, standards and best practice
· Managing accident and incident reporting, investigations and root-cause analysis
· Regular mandatory reporting to CEO
· Maintenance and update of written H&S documentation
· Developing and delivering HSE training, inductions and awareness initiatives
· Monitoring HSE performance, analysing trends and producing reports for leadership
· Acting as the primary point of contact for HSE matters, providing clear and pragmatic advice to managers
· Carrying out and overseeing risk assessments, site inspections and internal audits
· Leading and continually improving the organisation’s health, safety and environmental management systems
· Supporting emergency planning, incident response and business resilience arrangements promoting a strong safety culture through visible leadership and engagement
· Managing the relationships with key stakeholders across the business providing support, advise and assistant where necessary.
· Work collaboratively across the business delivering a quality service aligned with the overarching vision and objectives of the organisation.
· You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
· You’re an experienced H&S or HSEQ professional with a strong working knowledge of UK legislation
· You’re comfortable operating independently and influencing across different levels of a business
· You take a practical, solutions-focused approach to managing risk and compliance
· You communicate clearly and confidently with both site teams and senior stakeholders
· You have experience working in a regulated or operational environment
· You hold a NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification, as a minimum
· You’re a member of a recognised professional body (or working towards)
· You’re motivated by improving standards, behaviours and overall safety performance
