Accounts Administrator (Ayr)

We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our Accounts team in Ayr.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative or accounts experience to develop their career within a busy accounts environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting customer account activity, payment processing, account administration and collections operations.

This is a full-time, office-based role focused on managing customer payments, handling account queries, and processing refunds

The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and a proactive approach to the role. We’re looking for someone who is confident, enjoys problem-solving, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

What you'll be doing

  • Processing Customer Payments: Efficiently handle customer payments using Autorek and Workday, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Managing Customer Refunds: Process customer refunds using our CRM system, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Generating Customer Statements: Produce and send customer statements via our CRM
  • Processing Phone Payments: Take card payments securely over the phone
  • Ownership of Customer Queries: Take full responsibility for customer account queries, from initial contact to resolution, ensuring every issue is addressed proactively
  • Supporting Collections Operations: Play a key role in supporting the Collections Team by providing administrative support, liaising with external Debt Collection Agencies, and assisting with the management of insolvent accounts

What you'll bring to the role

  • Previous experience in an accounts, finance or administrative role is desirable; however, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Office 365
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience using accounting or finance systems would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with customers, colleagues and external partners
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks through to completion
