Business Administration Apprentice - Industrial and Commercial

You’ll work towards recognised qualification, with 3 paid hours per week dedicated to your apprenticeship learning.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, your role will involve providing administrative support in our Industrial and Commercial team. Responsibilities may include data entry and record keeping, handling various communications, document preparation and project assistance.

No experience needed, just a positive attitude, motivation and willingness to learn.

What you'll be doing

  • Customer billing and support: Generate and review bills, handle customer queries, and provide excellent service by identifying and responding to customer needs
  • Collaboration and communication: Work with team members and other departments to resolve complex queries and support wider business functions
  • Payments and systems: Set up Direct Debits, allocate payments, and use internal systems confidently and accurately
  • Workload and performance: Manage your time effectively, meet deadlines, and take ownership of KPIs and personal development
  • Apprenticeship learning: Use your weekly study time productively and attend all scheduled meetings with your GP Strategies assessor
  • Values and compliance: Demonstrate company values, follow regulations, complete mandatory training, and support continuous improvement
  • Flexibility and growth: Be open to additional tasks and ongoing learning as part of your professional development

What you'll bring to the role

  • Qualifications: Minimum Nat 5 Maths and Nat 5 English preferred
  • Communication skills: Clever verbal and written communication is essential for conveying information effectively, whether it’s through emails, phone calls or in-person interactions
  • Organisational skills: The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail: Being meticulous and thorough ensures accuracy in tasks like data entry, documentation preparation and record-keeping, minimising errors and oversights
