IT Apprentice - Cybersecurity Analyst

You’ll work towards recognised qualification, with 3 paid hours per week dedicated to your apprenticeship learning.

As an IT Apprentice, you’ll be providing support to the IT Security and Compliance team by helping maintain the company’s systems and tools. You’ll be reviewing security events, updating service desk tickets and managing information for business dashboards.

What you'll be doing

Security and compliance: Assist in the improvement of the Information Security Management System, monitor and analyse security alerts, and contribute to incident response and compliance activities
Policy and procedure development: Help develop, update, and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to maintain security and ensure compliance
Collaboration and Projects: Work with team members on IT projects, participate in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and business continuity planning
Professional development: Engage in learning opportunities to enhance IT skills, complete SVQ coursework, and stay up-to-date with sector regulations, best practices, and tools
KPI delivery: Take responsibility for KPIs in your area, consistently exceed performance metrics, and support the team to meet key objectives
Company values: Understand and model behaviours based on company values, adhere to regulatory requirements, and work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Systems and compliance: Use company HR and IT systems efficiently, complete mandatory training (e.g., GDPR, Equality & Diversity), and meet ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 responsibilities
Risk management: Understand and assist with the company’s risk management framework, contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining data protection standards
