The Sales Executive role supports the acquisition of new business customers and the seamless onboarding process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales, customer service and account management within the water retail sector.
This role will report to and work closely with the Business Development Manager and Onboarding Manager along with mentorship from the Head of Business Development.
• Competitive salary: £24,000 to £30,000

Sales and business development
• Conduct outbound prospecting and lead generation activities to identify and qualify potential business customers interested in Castle Water’s services.
• Assist in developing and executing sales strategies and campaigns to target key industries, market segments, and geographic regions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to generate sales leads, schedule appointments, and participate in sales presentations and negotiations.
Customer engagement and relationship management
• Engage with prospective customers to understand their water supply needs, challenges, and objectives, and position Castle Water’s solutions as value-added propositions.
• Build and nurture relationships with prospects through effective communication, follow-up, and relationship-building activities.
Onboarding support and assistance
• Support the onboarding process for new business customers, assisting with documentation, account setup, and coordination with internal teams.
• Serve as a point of contact for new customers during the onboarding process, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and ensuring a smooth transition to Castle Water’s services.
Market research and analysis
• Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and business opportunities within the water retail sector.
• Monitor industry news, regulatory developments, and customer feedback to inform sales and marketing strategies and initiatives.
Collaboration and teamwork
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer service, and operations, to support business growth and ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative projects to contribute to the success of the sales and onboarding team.
• You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field, or equivalent
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with customers and colleagues
• Highly motivated and results-driven, with a passion for sales, customer service, and relationship building
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines effectively
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is desirable but not required
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
