Your career journey

What was your background before joining Castle Water?

Having started in hospitality at 14, I launched my career in 2018 at the Tesco Call Centre. I spent a year working in a Tesco Call Centre, where I developed valuable skills and experience. This foundation paved the way for my successful application to Castle Water in 2019.

How did you first hear about Castle Water, and what attracted you to apply?

While living in Blairgowrie, I discovered Castle Water through others who had joined the company. Recognising Castle Waters need for someone with contact centre experience, I proactively gained this experience at Tesco before applying.

Have you progressed in your role since joining? If so, how?

I began my career in 2019 as a Customer Service Advisor. In 2021, I was promoted to Team Leader in Back Office. In 2022, I transitioned to Front Office and have been a Team Leader there since.

Life at Castle Water

What does a typical day in your role look like?

Each week, I conduct weekly meetings and one-on-ones, manage daily reporting and metrics, and schedule the workforce. I also delegate tasks and organise workloads. I have taken charge of recruitment for the front office, which includes organising and conducting interviews. Additionally, I support our third-party company, Huntswood, by addressing any queries they have and visiting their office every few months to strengthen our working relationship.

What do you enjoy most about working at Castle Water?

Castle Water has provided me with numerous opportunities for which I am very grateful. I have gained substantial experience that I will carry into my future career. A big part of what makes Castle Water special is its amazing team. Working alongside such great people makes every day a joy.

What’s one standout moment or achievement you’re proud of?

After working for Castle Water as an advisor for two years, I was proud to be promoted to Team Leader at a young age. Since then, I have focused on improving my managerial skills and learning from my colleagues.
